Greene Acres gardeners decided to continue weekday open hours through Thursday, September 11. Weekend open hours will begin on Sunday, September 14. Fall/Early Winter weekend open hours are: Saturdays 10am-3pm & Sundays 12am-5pm Each set of open hours will be divided into two shifts for garden members. A note about signing up for the new open hours should be placed in each gardener's plot. 4. Workday. There will be a garden workday on Saturday, September 20 from 8:30am to about 2 or 3pm. There should be a call around the week before the workday to remind garden members that they should do their best to come by for some time during the workday. We will need cardboard and woodchips for the workday. 5. Garden event. The middle garden will have a garden event on Saturday, October 4 and would like to know if Greene Acres is interested in having a band. Interested Greene Acres' members should contact Beryl. 6. Update roster and map. The roster and map of plots need to be updated to put up on the garden shed door and on the website. 7. Bocce. There is interest from Vandra and Noah to build a bocce court somewhere in the garden. 8. Mulch Franklin Avenue side beds over the winter. The soil in the beds along Franklin Avenue needs to be revived. On the workday, the beds should be turned for the winter and mixed with compost. 9. Old business/new business.
